My husband and I tried to put up wallpaper once. He said he never wanted to do it again as he would prefer to stay married to me 🤣. Perhaps we should have undertaken the project in spring!
This has been a lovely piece of entertainment for this evening. Its so witty and clever and visual, yet wonderfully simple in its design. I just have this image of them both sitting on the floor and the wallpaper rolling down on top of them 😂. Thank you for sharing this.
Utterly charming, I found it very amusing, even the wallpaper apocalypse all around them couldn’t dampen their optimism for Spring courting.
Out of all the seasons Spring is the one where my inner child comes out to play most frequently, every flower and blossom is a wonder that stops me in my tracks and as each leaf unfurls and the rural carpet spreads it’s fingers in vibrant shades of green, I feel lighter, more optimistic. So that’s how I’m going to celebrate Spring, I’m just going to enjoy watching nature do its magic tricks and I’m going to allow myself to be astounded.
So sweet and funny to read and a delight to listen to it. Thank you, Miranda! I have only tried to put up wallpaper once, never again, the word ‘corrugated’ brought back the memories! 💐 🩷
This made me smile and reminded of the time I tried to paper the underside of my stairs which formed a sloping ceiling in part of my kitchen - the wallpaper just would not stay stuck on the ceiling and I practically ended up wearing it! So I gave in and painted it instead! I don't do anything special to celebrate spring, just enjoy all the flowers and budding leaves and listening to the birdsong 🌷🌳
What a lovely reading Miranda, it did make me smile especially the ending! On my walk on Friday I stopped to greet the edge of the wood daffodils and all the green buds of the trees unfurling by saying welcome to each one! I think the local dog walkers may have thought me a little enthusiastic! Happy Spring to you and Donna!
Adored this lovely piece, and you did a brilliant job reading it! Here’s to a non-wallpapering Spring! 😂💚🌷
Agreed 😂 I’m sure any walls I tried to paper would look like nothing on earth too!!
